A Certain Pleasure in Words

Sophocles, fragment 259:
For there is a certain pleasure also in words, whenever they cause forgetfulness of present evils.

ἔνεστι γάρ τις καὶ λόγοισιν ἡδονή,
λήθην ὅταν ποιῶσι τῶν ὄντων κακῶν.
