Caw, Caw, Caw

James Henry, A Half Year's Poems (Dresden: C.C. Meinhold and Sons, 1854), p. 44:
Caw, caw, caw,
Blithe Jackdaw,
      Come here to me;
Why so shy? Thou and I
      May well agree.

I for great
Church and State
      Care not one spittle,
And I trow,
Wise bird, thou
      Car'st just as little.
