A Raging Fire

Euripides, Orestes 696-697 (tr. David Kovacs):
When the common people fall into a rage and feel their vigor,
it is like trying to put out a raging fire.

ὅταν γὰρ ἡβᾷ δῆμος εἰς ὀργὴν πεσών,
ὅμοιον ὥστε πῦρ κατασβέσαι λάβρον.
